About Me

My name is a Ionia Martin. I am a writer, a reader, a musician, a photographer and a mother. I am also a book reviewer/blogger and love to read books of many genres/styles and varieties. I love discovering new voices in literature and spend almost every minute of my spare time with a book of one sort or another in front of me.

  1. In my very limiting blogging experience, I have already gained an enormous respect and admiration of you and your peers. I have some direct questions that I would like to ask you about my writing and publishing process. Could you share your email address with me?

  9. Oh Ionia! I have nominated you for the One Lovely Blog Award. Have a look at my latest post to see the details or if you prefer not to receive awards, that is absolutely fine :)

  14. Hi! Everyone misses you and hope you get better soon!
I’ve nominated you for a ‘Versatile Blogger Award’…because you’re awesome of course. If you’re not the awards type that’s cool but if you are go get it here http://wp.me/p3CH62-pt ! Yeah, there are rules but they’re pretty easy to follow. Thanks for reading my silliness!

  15. Welcome back my beloved Mentor Ionia. I missed you so much. You are so utterly awesome and the fact that you kicked cancer’s ass is NOT surprising to me at all because I knew it all along. If you’re up for it, please pick up the Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award that I’ve nominated you for. http://wp.me/p38Uaw-cS . I love you. Lily. :)

  16. I have nominated you for the Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award. I know another award is a pain, but I did promise the nominator that I would try and fulfill the requirements. You are under no such obligation. The good news is the nominations should be blogs that I enjoy reading and yours is certainly that. Go here to see the blog: http://wp.me/p2Qoij-Uc

  18. You (and your blog) came up in a discussion I was having with Rara about literary minded bloggers I should be following, reading, interacting with, etc…
I like what I’ve seen so far.

  20. I found your blog through the interview you just posted with Rose. I am always on the lookout for literary blogs. Mine is mostly literary. I just noticed, being a fairly new blogger, what’s with like half the comments here having to do with blogger awards? :-) I received one a few months back, a nomination, but don’t quite get it. It feels like a chain letter kind of thing to me, but I see that you simply accept each one as an honour. Hope to read more of your blog soon.

    • Very nice to meet you. I agree about the chain letter type of feel. I appreciate them but stopped getting involved with them a long time ago. I look forward to checking out your blog!

  21. Ah! I just found your blog and it’s SO cool! I write a blog myself, it’s the fictional story of a mid-twenties girl who moved around her whole life and tries to find her bearings after college. If you go on it, don’t critique it yet would be scared of you reviewing it, but maybe in a few years and I’m a better writer! If you have time though, please check it out!
